Born in the North East of England Mark  moved to London in the 1980s to seek fame and fortune, but ended up as a shop assistant to the rich in the West End, and eventually as a guide to their art investments at a world renown auctioneers.

He moved across the Atlantic to crack the Big Apple, working in nightclub hospitality before graduating to selling designer clothing in an increasingly ‘turbulent’ commercial environment, from New York to Miami.

Burnt out and deciding to quit whilst ahead, he returned to the UK for a fresh start promoting inner city regeneration projects and the protection of historic buildings and places, developing urban planning education games for kids and now, amongst other urban guerrilla pursuits, parachute drops free poetry into the community.

His book ‘Do Not Fear the World, Fear Yourself’  was Shortlisted for the 2009-Pulp Idol novel writing competition – part of Liverpool’s Writing on the Wall Literary Festival-and he has had poetry published in various publications, most recently in the anthology ‘Tales of a New Town.’  His chapbook 'When the Sun came Down and Danced in Our street' was issued July 2010.

He now lives near Liverpool.
